چکیده

The impact of climate change on the environment and human activities is one biggest concerns for international community. Wind energy represents most reliable promising technology to achieve target reduction emissions. Though more intense uniform resources characterize offshore areas, may alter environmental conditions thus Levelized Cost Energy evaluation. In this study, we analyze wind sector over North Sea Irish Sea, where majority European investments are located. To aim, seven regional model simulations from EURO-Cordex project first evaluated. ERA5 reanalysis product considered historical reference information after its validation against in-situ records it used by assessing their performance reproduce weather types. Several statistics calculated assess skill each in reproducing past climatology period (1985-2004). Since no significant differences between highlighted, an ensemble all future changes climate. Weather types under representative concentration path scenario RCP8.5 2081-2100 then analyzed describe climatological mean extreme events. Regional bias-corrected applying empirical quantile mapping technique. Then, six indicators (i.e. speed, power density, operation hours, gross yield, capacity factor) estimated operating farms. Results indicate a slight decrease production, particularly northwest domain testified indicators. However, large uncertainties projected found at farms located close south coast Sea. Extreme show modest rise southeastern part region, related increase dominated cyclonic systems off Scotland shores.

cement is an essential ingredient in the concrete buildings. for production of cement considerable amount of fossil fuel and electrical energy is consumed. on the other hand for generating one tone of portland cement, nearly one ton of carbon dioxide is released. it shows that 7 percent of the total released carbon dioxide in the world relates to the cement industry. considering ecological issu...

Potential Impacts of Offshore Wind Farms on North Sea Stratification

Advances in offshore wind farm (OWF) technology have recently led to their construction in coastal waters that are deep enough to be seasonally stratified. As tidal currents move past the OWF foundation structures they generate a turbulent wake that will contribute to a mixing of the stratified water column. In this study we show that the mixing generated in this way may have a significant impa...
